Devon hadn't planned on going to a private party, to be honest they really weren't her thing. For one private parties were never a good idea with a status like hers. She spent the entire night taking pictures, signing things, or being roped in on boring conversations, nothing she enjoyed when she was trying to have a good time herself. Secondly there was never any press to catch her antics, and well a rock star heiress like her needed as much good or bad publicity to stay where she was, popularity wise. So when she got the invite for this particular one, she had almost turned it down entirely. But her friend insisted she go, saying she would really enjoy the band that was suppose to be there. When it came to Devon she really wasn't into musicians for the long haul, they left a very bad taste in her mouth. They were generally selfish, unavailable emotionally, party animals to their core, and well down right cheats most of the time. Dev had made her way through quite a few musicians back when she believed in love, dedication, and loyalty. But those boys had ruined her, she was evil and cold to her core, and no man would ever get any true affection out of her, that she promised herself.
When Devon followed one of her model friends into the flat where the party was being hosted, she didn't even remove her doll like eyes from her phone screen. Dev was bound and determined to look as uninterested in the people around her as possible. Devon wasn't here to engage, nor entertain them. She was here because Anberlin had wanted her to come, and she had been promised large amounts of liquor. So needless to say she didn't notice the familiar faces around her. A couple musicians she knew, a photographer, a couple magazine owners, and some other randoms she had crossed. Devon made small talk as she followed Anberlin through the masses of people. Her eyes never one leaving her phone until she ran smack into someone. "For fucks sake." she cursed quickly regaining her balance on her heels. Dev had to admit her model training had become very useful in teaching her how to navigate in a drunken state heels that no one dared to wear. When she looked up her eyes met the gaze of someone she did not know, but someone who seemed very excited to see her. "Your Devon Slash, arnt you?" came the males excited tone, which caused a grin to slip over the minx's lips. "Yeah and you about knocked my on my ass." she said her words hard to tell if they were playful or mean.
"I'm so sorry, damn, I'm fumbling over my words. I love your work." he said his face just becoming happier as time passed. "Thanks," she said looking around a bit for Anberlin who seemed to have left her with this bumbling idiot. "Come meet my friends, they will be rather shocked your here as well." he said with a grin. Dev shrugged, why the hell not, wasn't like it would get any worse from here right? She followed him as he led her over to some couches in the corner where some people seemed to be relaxing and drinking. Though what Dev's eyes landed on next made her stomach churn just a little. Fucking really, out of all the places to run into him it would be at his own damn party? "Well too bad for you, I've already met that asshole." she said playfully, her eyes locking directly on Dantes.
