The sun slowly set below the clouds, Kay sat on the beach toes in the sand. Wiggling off the side on her black toes, she looked up to the sky. Waiting for the sun to make its way out of the sky, she slowly inhaled the blunt. The smoke filled her lungs giving a feeling of relief Exhaling she reflected on the day she had. After, a long morning of finding all her stuff in Nicholas house, she spent the day with happy brides that are planning on beach weddings. The happiness was emitted through the multiple stories they told as they changed between dresses. Only tourists would want to get married here. Everyone who lived here was drying to get out. It was so hard to spend countless days in and out of the shop hungover listening to them babble about how perfect their lives were going to be. She really should consider maybe taking some time off or at least time during work nights. The memories of last night flooded in. Clubs, boys, some LSD. The boys following her home to Nick's house. I wonder how Nick handle it while Kay just laughed and laughed about it. She really needed to quit down on the drugs before she fried what was left her brain. Was there anything left in her brain. Midnight swimming was what she was waiting for. Maybe she just needed someone to show up during midnight swimming. She never feared what animal was waiting out there for her.
The water lapping up her skin the fresh high was all she was waiting for. She moved to start heading down the beach closer to the waters edge. The blue water licked the sand and went back out. She longed for the water to lick up her skin. The carmel coast water was always the prettiest at dusk.
The pink rays left from the sun was the only light waiting in the water. She looked around as the dusk settled and the water started calling her name. Removing her clothing piece by piece, she checked around again before entering the water. The sun had almost finished setting as her white body made it into the water. The sun glittered off the water as she ducked under. She rose back out of the water to catch the last bit of rays.
