tossing her laptop asside after powering it down, she gave baptist a small pet to gather her thoughts. she had no idea what she was going to wear, but as she glanced down at herself, she knew she couldn't go in what she was currently wearing. a tank top and a thong definitely wouldn't be the smartest idea to leave the apartment with; at least, if she wanted to remain unharmed, anyway. after gathering a bit of an idea as to what she wanted to wear, selene scooted her cat a bit so she could get up and started to look through her clothes. choosing her favourite cropped top, she pulled her tank top off and replaced it with the superman shirt. she'd chosen it mainly because it showed off the upper part of her pelvic tattoo, and considering tattoos was something that zach liked now, she hoped he'd at least enjoy the view. for bottoms, she picked out a pair of dark denim shorts that she was very fond of, and pulled them over her thong.
giving a small glance into her bedroom mirror, she made a face at her hair and then instantly started to go to work. dragging her fingers through her hair, she fixed her part so that it was over the side to suit her actual hair style, and then continued to make sure that the hair would stay. after hassling with that, she touched up her day-old make up a bit, and then pried herself away. selene didn't want to keep him waiting for her, and spending time in front of a mirror is something she hated to do on a regular basis. so, after grabbing her flannel button up, she pocketed her smokes, cell phone, and wallet before finding her shoes. digging her feet into the skate high tops, she grabbed her keys off their usual key-holder and then exited the apartment. giving it a quick lock up, she tucked the keys away and made her way outside, already lighting up a smoke before exiting the building.
like she'd said, she walked out to the sidewalk in front of the apartments so that he didn't have to guess at which building was hers and park in front of it, or in its parking lot. taking a long drag from her smoke, she was busy looking in the opposite direction that he had pulled up. it wasn't until she heard a car, and saw it come into view of the corner of her eye, that selene took a bit of a step back and arched her eyebrows at the sight before her. at a stand-still, the car before her was absolutely beautiful. a black porsche, with golden details along the lights, grill, and the rest of the body. at first, she didn't think it was zach. there was no way in hell that he'd made enough money in his life to afford a car like this. but, as she came closer to the passenger window and peered inside, she was very mistaken. "holy fucking shit," she started as she pulled the door open to get in, tossing her smoke before closing it behind her.
"you're just trying to impress me, right? this is a rental.. right?" her voice was clearly uncertain, having no idea what to expect from him. but she certainly hadn't thought that he'd have pulled up in a beauty like this. if anything, maybe a street bike, but that might've been pushing her expectations a little bit. Zachary would be lying if he said he wasn’t excited to see Selene, but he wasn’t excited for the reasons one might think. He was excited to bring her to her knees. Though he would never admit it to anyone this girl had made him miserable through high school. Mind you most adults let their traumatic high school years go and move on, but not Z. No, his life had been rough enough having to deal with a drug addicted mother who was mentally unstable and often times told him that he should have been aborted, and that life would just be better if she ended her existence. That was enough for any child to go through, but what made it even more horrific for Zach was the fact she was the only family he had. His father had never been in the picture, and to be honest Z had no idea who he even was. Zach’s mother had been blacklisted from the rest of her family, and along with her being shunned he was as well. Z knew exactly how cold of a family he had come from when he found himself to be her only relative at her funeral. Zach had no desire to connect with his long lost family after his mother’s passing, as far as he was concerned, they could stick it where the sun didn’t shine.
So yes, as pathetic as it sounded he wanted to ruin the girl who through salt in his wounds. Who was she to think this wouldn’t come back to haunt her? Did she honestly believe the good hearted nerd she belittled and tormented really wanted to be friend with her now? She was a fool. Zach was revengeful, he always had been, but lucky for him the blonde he was picking up never got to know him well enough to see that vicious trait. Z wasn’t quite sure how he was going to go about breaking her down, but he would figure it out along the way, that he was sure of. When he pulled up in his porche he smirked. Seeing her face look shocked really amused him. Although Sel might have thought him a loser in high school he was anything but now. He was a professional hacker, employed by the United States government, along with several other less than noble countries. Z sold his skills to the highest bidder even if it meant he was selling nuclear codes to foreign countries, he honestly didn’t care. All this cold man cared about now was the over flowing cash in his pocket. You only live once and he was going to make the most of it. When she opened the door and slid in he offered her a warm smile. A fake one, but who was judging here? “Yeah, she’s beautiful isn’t she?” he said with a charming smile, before putting the Porche into drive, and peeling out of the shit hole of a neighborhood she called home.
Zach laughed when she asked him if this was a rental. “First off I don’t try to impress anyone, and secondly this is my vehicle, one of three.” he added. For some reason he felt the need to show her just how better off he was now. “Being smart has its perks.” he said with a grin. Zach turned up the radio really not caring to talk very much. He had always been on the quiet side, one of many reasons he got picked on. Oh how he didn’t miss being called Mr. Mute or being asked cat got your tongue? Z believed in karma, and how that sweet woman had helped him out . As he drove he reached over and into his glove box, grabbing out his bowl. He placed it to his lips, before lighting it. He inhaled and as soon as the smoke hit his longs he felt himself relax. Z took another hit of the bowl for good measure before offering it over to Selene. “If you don’t want it, just put it back in the glove box.” he said with a warm smile. He continued to drive until they finally hit the tavern that him and his friends called their second home. He parked his Porche in a private drive, before turning the engine off and hopping out. Z shut his door, and began walking towards the back door of the pub. Zach didn’t bother to wait for Sel, she had legs, and she could always catch up.

[atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign,top][atrb=style, background-color:#202020][STYLE=opacity:.8; background-color:#202020; padding:6px; width:200px] [/style] | [atrb=style, width:252px;][atrb=valign, top] free me from myself SHUT DOWN MY MIND one of three. he had three cars. selene had to stop herself from rolling her eyes. at first, she'd been amazed at the car he had pulled up in, but now she was second guessing herself for getting into it. zach had never seemed like the type to get a car like this, sure, and it'd been a huge surprise. but three cars? that was a little far fetch, and a small sense of the word 'douchebag' was starting to boil in her train of thought the more she listened to him speak. she was glad for the radio, sinking back into her seat more to gaze out her window. she hadn't expected him to give off the air of a complete prick, considering he hadn't even been close to defending himself back in high school. sure, selene had gotten worse from her few years in high school, but she hadn't dramatically changed at all. this was an entirely new zach that she had to take in, and it was kind of off putting.
when he pulled out the bowl, selene arched an eyebrow. she hadn't taken him for drugs in high school, but for all she knew, he could've been smoking pot since before high school. anyone smoked it, as she had soon learned, and tried to find a small sense of peace as the familiar smell entered the car after his exhale. when he offered it, and spoke, she took it without hesitation and pulled out her zippo. flipping it open, she pressed her thumb and lit the contraption, lighting the radius of the bowl. as she inhaled, her eyes closed, a ghost of a smile tugging at the corners of her lips for a moment as the lightheaded feeling fluttered back to her. her high had been draining when she had left the apartment, so now with this replenishing hit, selene was back to her fucked up state, and she absolutely loved it.
when she was finished, she pushed her zippo back into her shorts pocket and tucked the bowl away in the glove box. when he pulled into an unfamiliar parking lot, unfamiliar as in she'd never seen the inside of the tavern before, she glanced around the windows to try and get her surroundings. following suit, she opened her door and let it close behind her, rolling up her flannel's sleeves to her elbows as she caught up to zach's pace. she hadn't thought anything of him leaving her a few seconds behind, especially since selene was more than used to fending for herself. "so what's this? like, your breakfast club meeting place?" she asked with a bit of a smirk, pulling out a smoke. lighting it before they entered, not seeing any no smoking signs, she glanced around for the group that they'd be metting.
sure enough, kyle was the first to wave them over. at least, he was waving until he saw who was with zach. as soon as he laid eyes on selene, his eyes widened in shock and his face lost its goofy expression it'd held moments before they had walked in. it only grew worse as they approached, and kyle somehow found the courage in himself to approach them. arching a brow, selene stopped when kyle got in her way, taking a heavy drag off her smoke to blow into his face. kyle was tranced by it for a moment, but he quickly recovered and waved the second hand from his line of view. "what're you doing here, hathaway?" his voice was almost accusing, as though just being there, she'd done something wrong. selene chuckled darkly underneath her breath and rolled her eyes. "really? what're you, kyle, a cop now?" she asked intimidatingly, keeping her ground when he tried to do it right back. "your pal over here thinks he can get into my pants. other than that, i came for the booze. if you'll excuse me, pincushion.." she trailed off, moving up to the bar in order to do exactly just that: indulge in alcohol.
she had to show her ID, but after he had stopped flirting with her and actually paid attention to what she had wanted, selene found herself glancing over towards the table zach's group was stationed at while she waited, her eyes only seeking him out amongst the crowd. he'd changed a lot over the years, and as much as she hated to admit it, she think she kind of liked it. in a naughty way, at least. Zach watched with amusement as Sel went back to tormenting Kyle just like she had in high school. Seems the queen bitch hadn't relinquished her throne quite yet. Zach hated to admit it but her being cruel, yet funny at the same time was really appealing to him. He fought off the desire to smile, after all he wasn't going to allow himself to be won over by her charms, she was an enemy after all. His eyes narrowed in an effort to keep up the charade he was currently playing off. "Actually he is Sel, careful careful." he whispered against her neck before slinking by her, and heading over to the rest of the boys he called family. "I don't try, especially when it comes to you, its not worth the effort." he said a devious grin forming on his lips. It wasn't in Z to be down right, and abrasively mean, but for some reason he felt as though the skinny blonde in his presence deserved every ill laced word. Perhaps she had forgotten the torment she had caused a good portion of the people in her presence. Maybe these guys were pathetic for still hating the queen bee, but no matter how the rest of the night played out, it was sure to be entertaining. Z watched her as she walked off towards the bar, his eyes scanning her seductive frame. Okay so maybe she was really getting to him, but he wouldn't allow himself any pleasure in that conquest.
His gaze was torn away from her when his friends began jumping his bones about her being there. Kyle was practically besides himself about her being there. "Hey, dude chill. She cant hurt you dumb ass, your a fucking detective now." he said with a laugh. Zach was in the middle of a conversation when he felt a pair of arms drape over his shoulders, a chin resting a top his head. He tore his eyes away from everyone else and looked up to see Merricke looking down at him. He grinned up at her, getting lost in those stunning blue eyes of hers for a moment. Merricke had gone to high school with both Selene and Zach, and if Z's memory served him right Mer actually hung around the same crowd at Selene. Mer and Z had a very on again, off again type relationship. The two of them could never get on the same page. Merricke either wanted him, and he was uninterested in playing her games yet again, or Z wanted someone to spoil and be affectionate towards, and she was too busy chasing thugs. Zach couldn't win with her, and as tempting as her touch was he knew it was laced with deceit. Mer always came back when her funds got low, or she had pissed off one of her dealers. So in the kindest voice he could muster, her simply whispered "Mer not tonight." before getting to his feet.
He let her arms fall off him as he walked over to the bar where Selene was sitting. He slowly slipped an arm around her waste before gently whispering. "For once don't be a bitch, and just play along." he said smoothly, though her dark brown eyes were very pleading. Zach didn't want to have to deal with Merricke tonight, and Selene was the perfect thing to keep her claws off him. Zach leaned over the bar and whistled for the bartender. When he came up Zach pulled out a hundred and handed it to the man. "We are going to need a couple bottles of Jameson, so get me whatever that will cover." he said with a grin. Zach had a feeling it was going to be a very long night, especially with his two lady friends in the same room. Nothing like whiskey to make the evening more entertaining. When the bartender brought his three bottles to him, he thanked him before opening one and pouring himself a shot. He looked over at Sel curiously, but didn't wait for an answer before he began pouring her one as well. "Cheers." he said with a smirk. He brought the shot class to his lips and smiled before swallowing down the warm liquid.
"Shall we?" he said extending his hand to her. The nerdy politeness he had in the past shining through. As much as Zach wanted to punish the slinky blonde at his side, he was finding it incredibly hard to be mean to her.

[atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign,top][atrb=style, background-color:#202020][STYLE=opacity:.8; background-color:#202020; padding:6px; width:200px] [/style] | [atrb=style, width:252px;][atrb=valign, top] free me from myself SHUT DOWN MY MIND to say the least, selene was a little more than disbelieving that a guy like kyle had actually made it onto carmel's task force, but she didn't raise any questions or accuse zach of lying. instead, she tried not to focus on the way his breath caught against her skin, and for a moment, all she could do was grind her teeth to keep herself from starting some sort of physical altercation - just in case kyle actually was a cop. all in all, that'd just give her another reason to hate him, to say the least. her reaction to zach's next comment wasn't evident. she didn't care for his rambling, but it didn't affect her, either. she'd heard the worst in her life, and zach wasn't even starting to get out of the frozen zone on her nerve list.
luckily, selene had turned back around once her beer and two shots of whiskey had arrived. she never cared for those stupid sayings, where mixing your alcohol was wrong or bad; normally, selene ended up puking anyway because she over indulges constantly. she doesn't feel the effects of mixing two different alcoholic beverages, luckily. merricke's arrival had gone unnoticed, and it was probably for the better; they had been in the same crowd when they were in high school, but selene had never liked her. at least, she stopped liking her after she started spreading rumors about her being a lesbian. it wasn't that selene cared if people thought she was a lesbian, because she was practically halfway there, but she hated the emotional stress that everyone constantly put on her for it. it was one of the reasons why she lashed out so much at anyone she could. but the worst part about it was that mer had been the one who had come onto her, not the other way around. selene had just followed suit.
downing her shots, she was about to call the bartender over to get her refills when she felt someone's arm snake around her waist. it was a sudden fell of flesh against flesh, considering the shirt she was wearing, and if it hadn't been for the slight need she swore she had heard in zach's voice, she probably would've whipped around and punched him in the face. but for some reason, she found herself slightly melting back against her, her posture curving to his chest rather than trying to escape from his body heat. and he smelt good, too, which also made it rather hard to pretend she didn't actually mind. she was almost too distracted with getting a whiff of him when he pulled out his bill that she almost didn't see it. but as soon as she did, her eyebrows shot up, still unable to grasp the concept that zach was rich, despite all the signs and evidence. it was one thing for her to see oliver pull out that kind of money, but a kid she used to bully in high school? that was just.. well, kind of the biggest slap in the face.
when he poured her a shot, she took it without hesitation, her growing want for alcohol clear. she'd gotten a taste, and it wasn't a surprise to her that she wanted more. selene didn't say anything in response to his cheers, other than lifting her shot up in a bit of a 'cheers' motion before she downed it. when she tilted her head back, her head came to rest on his shoulder, and she hesitated there for a moment, figuring that he'd come over and told her to 'play along' because he was trying to get someone off his back. selene was a very good actress when it came to pissing / warding off women.
as his hand extended to her, she slowly arched a curious brow, but took it nonetheless. "sure.. even though i don't know where we're going." she commented lowly, unsure if they were staying in the pub to hang out with his group of friends who completely resented everything about her, or whether they'd get a chance to ditch this place altogether and get shitfaced somewhere. selene wasn't really concerned about the outcome, however, considering she knew there were three bottles of jameson to indulge in. as long as there was alcohol, she knew she'd be okay in some form or another. Zach smiled and took her hand, using his free hand to grab the two bottles of whiskey. He led her over by the tables but didn't sit down, rather her placed the bottles on the table and , looked around at his friends. He did his best to avoid eye contact with Mer, after all she probably was giving him one of the dirtiest looks. But just to push her over the edge a bit, he released Sel's hand and instead let it slide behind her back and pull her close. "Well hearing your guys bitch, and your recent gossip has been amusing, but I think my new friend, and I are going to kick it." he said with a smug smirk before looking down at Sel. Of course Mer got up, and shoved her chair like a typical spoiled brat. Mer was never one to lose gracefully, and watching her storm over to the bar caused a very amused look to cross his features. "Zach, are you seriously leaving with her, you just got here." came Kyle's voice as his eyes skimmed over Sel once more. "You have got to be kidding me" he said gruffly, crossing his arms and looking up at Zach. "Aww easy killer, you can have me later." he said in a teasing tone before taking Sel's hand, and one bottle of whiskey with them out the door.
"You were one mean bitch in high school, look how pissy you got them?" he said with a chuckle, releasing her hand the moment they were out of the door. Zach couldn't help but to think back to those wonderful high school years. It seemed back then that things had been way more complicated than they were now. Oh the clique lines that had been so abided by, and evidently clear in his youth, were nothing but marks now. In high school he wouldn't have been got dead talking to someone like Sel, and vice versa. Zach had been a nerdy, but in his own defense he considered himself a cool, drama geek, musician type nerd, which was far better than the chemistry or algebra nerds that was for damn sure. Though he had beat to his own drum in high school, the years had worn on him and he was conforming a bit more than he liked. Hell who would have pictured the garage band weirdo to be working for the government as a professional it and hacker? No one. Most of the people he had gone to that god forsaken school with probably thought he was either addicted to heroin, and living in a gutter, or some famous rocker. But alas, Z spent his days in front of a screen, and when he felt the need to rebel as an adult, he hacked for some other countries for a much nicer fee.
Zach had worked for the government for free for quite some time before getting the cush job he had now. Z had been convicted of several Internet crimes ranging from illegal tampering, to treason, and lastly the intent to cause international unrest, whatever the fuck that meant. Needless to say Zach wasn't the type for prison, he wasn't built for it, and probably would have died in there. Lucky for him the government had given him another option, to work for them, against the people he had helped throughout the years. Z was now the the target of several terrorist groups, and had nearly escaped a run in with a Russian mobster only a month ago. Z was stressed, and his outward show of success, money, and happiness were just that, a show. He grinned back at her as he fished out his keys, "So where too babycakes?" he said smiling. He wasn't being nearly as affectionate with the term, if anything it was meant to be a tad condescending. Zach was probably coming off as extremely flaky, and flighty, but for a very good reason. The man was nervous, nervous about being out at night, nervous about being in Selene's presences, and quite frankly he wasn't going to feel safe until he was back in his own home, with his baller alarm system. "Your place or mine?" he said forcing confidence out one more time as he glanced around his surroundings.

"oh, blow it out your ass, kyle. it's not like you can't play butt-buddy tomorrow. i'm not keeping him for life." she slightly snarled out with a roll of her eyes.
after zach had led them outside, she was a tad bit grateful to have her hand back, and almost immediately, she reached into her pocket and pulled out her pack of smokes. "if anything, i did kyle a favour. he'd probably be someone's bitch right now if i didn't give him a small piece of backbone," she muttered through the filter of her smoke. grabbing out her zippo, she lit the end and tucked the torch away. exhaling slowly, she glanced towards zach, pursing her lips. hesitantly, she grabbed her pack back out and slowly held them out for him, unsure if he'd ever smoked in high school, or if he did / still did today. "uh, want one?" she asked in a little bit more than a gruff tone, not really used to that whole.. nice thing everyone was so uppity on talking about. but it was her attempt, and she kind of felt like zach at least deserved a little nice from her from all the hell she'd put him through.
at the nickname babycakes, selene rolled her eyes, making it obvious that it wasn't one of her favourite petnames. "how about yours?" she suggested, though the tone she used was more of a command. she was curious to see what zach stone was living in, and from the sounds of it, he was really bit up in some kind of.. whatever. so, from the looks of the car at least, he'd have to have a decent place, right? "'sides. this is the only way you can show me up, other than the fact that i don't have a car and you have three." considering her apartment was one of the shittiest in carmel, selene wasn't really going to get all fed up if he ended up living in the largest villa they had. it'd be a little surprising, having someone from school other than oliver living in a villa that she knew, but she'd grow some kind of sense about it. after all, it wasn't like they were going to be friends or anything after this. there was no way in hell she'd be visiting often. Zach had to admit her outward show of aggression made him smile. He liked that she had remained a vicious spit fire. Z liked girls who were bold, temperamental, and best of all intelligent. He liked having deep conversations whether they were mentally based, or emotionally. Z was a very conflicted individual and he liked complexity in the girls he spent any amount of real time with. He couldn't help but to grin at himself as they walked, maybe meeting back up with her hadn't been such a bad idea. And even more so, maybe this was no longer about revenge, but an genuine interest in catching up? Zach was a bit confused by it all, but what he did know was that he was taking home a very attractive woman with him. Attractive in so many senses of the word that he wouldn't even be able to break it all down in his mind. He was attracted to her because of what she had done to him all those years ago, he was attracted to her for her body, her mind also attracted him, but boy oh boy was that temper by far the most appealing. "Cant be too hard on Kyle, he just doesn't trust you. To be honest he doesn't trust most of the girls I'm around, I have a terrible record of getting my heart stomped on." Z replied with a small chuckle. "So what I guess I'm trying to say is don't take his rudeness personal?" he said with a half grin, hoping that his words wouldn't offend her too much, but a little spark would be nice.
"Oh don't flatter yourself minx..." he said coldly trying his best not to let it show that he was just kidding. ... "he's still a bitch." he said with a laugh. His eyes scanning over her features, and taking in all her mannerisms. Z couldn't help it, he was big on body language, and well he was really enjoying some of the characteristics he was reading off her. "You know you are very good at moving your body just a certain way to hold my attention." he said with a smile, letting some of that nerdiness, and awkwardness filter through. Z wasn't ashamed of who he was, rather he just liked playing other people here and there for shits and giggles. He wanted Sel to like him, to think he wasn't such a loser anymore. Because honestly he had felt as though they could have been really good friends back then had she ever given him the time of day. Sure he was busy with his studies, world of warcraft, and pretending to be a wizard every Saturday in the park, but underneath all that nerdiness was a super sweet kid who just needed a bit of direction. When she offered him a smoke he smiled before taking it. He placed the cigarette between his lips, fishing his own lighter out of his back pocket to light it. "Thanks." he said before taking a long drag of the cigarette.
"Only if you promise not to snoop." he said with a smirk. Part of him was kidding, but the other part was being incredibly serious. There were things she wasn't allowed to know, and if she stumbled upon them due to her snooping he would not be a happy camper. Zach opened up the car door, shutting the door once she was securely in. He started the car and began driving off towards his house. Z did live in a nice part of town, but his house would be best described as upper middle class, nothing too extravagant. Z really didn't care what his home looked like, only what it had inside it. Z pulled into his driveway with a grin. "See no giant mansion to overwhelm you, just a nicer house." he said with a laugh climbing out of the car. Z went up to his front door and began punching in a security code to unlock the front door. A code that if Sel was paying attention was exactly 21 numbers and letters. Once the door was unlocked he led her inside, flipping the lights on as he went. The house was simple, nice and neat, but still very much looked like a bachelor pad. He walked into the living room, which contained a large flat screen TV, several game counsels, a computer with three different monitors, and more wires then most peoples brains could comprehend. "Did you want something to drink?" Z asked as he walked over to two large dog crates.

"and i use that term loosely." she finished off. "but don't worry about me taking anything anyone says in any context personal. i realized a long time ago that people are either assholes because they're scared cowards, or nice because they're scared cowards. and a lot of them are gonna tell you whatever the fuck they thing they should. i can't even remember half of what kyle said to me in there." she side-glanced him after she was done speaking, not having been offended, but she was a little quick to defend the fact that she still didn't give a fuck; perhaps even more so than when she was in school. but, then again, zach had no idea about her past, or the reasons as to why she was the way she was, so it was a dangerous collection of things to say to someone as smart as zach. at least, for the sake that she wanted to stray away from prying ears when it came to herself like that.
at his compliment, at least what sounded like a compliment to her, selene's eyebrow raised and she turned to look at him. "sure you're not just staring at my legs a little too much, ratface?" she asked in a less than impressed tone, instantly rejecting any idea that zach might actually be trying to casually hit on her. she hadn't left her apartment with the thought of actually screwing him tonight, but with the longer she was around him, it was starting to become a growing want. and, to be honest, it kind of scared her. so, attempting to stay away from that was her only real option. just the very thought of possibly letting someone in that she used to practically hate on the surface for the fun of it made her stomach twist in confusion. there was a weird.. forbidden fruit sense to it, though she really had no idea why, considering it wasn't like it was against the rules to screw your bully-ee. a part of it was because of who zach seemed to be now; he was a little more confident than she thought he'd be at this age, and he had a lot going for him that she was really envious about, but it threw her into too big of a loop to feel comfortable with settling in, even for a moment. she was practically the definition of white trash to carmel, and he was a walking bruce wayne. how in the hell was that supposed to work?
"why would i? i've already seen you at your worst. i don't need to go snooping around for more things to bother you about, ratface." smirking to herself, she looked out the car window, leaning on her elbow with her chin in her palm. she was quiet for the ride, paying attention to the houses as they drove, watching them grow in size. she almost wanted to slouch back into her seat and close her eyes so that she didn't have to see how massive it was until they were literally there. it reminded her a lot of oliver's villa, and how much she couldn't get over its size. if zach lived in anything like that, she'd go absolutely nuts. but, to her amazement, the houses started to dimmer a bit into actual houses. blinking, she tried to point out his house to herself before he hit the driveway, but it was hard to pick. they were all rather large houses, that looked almost like it might cost half of a villa's mortgage. "you could still probably fit my entire apartment building in that if you rearranged it." selene replied back as she got out, looking up at the house. it was a really huge letdown that she was stuck in a crummy apartment that didn't even lock properly, and he had a giant house to roam around in at his leisure.
following him to the door, she didn't bother trying to pay attention to the code that he was punching in. instead, she lifted the bottle of alcohol to her lips, leaning back against the doorway as she took a few large mouthfuls. once the door was unlocked, she made her way inside, glancing around as soon as she could. when he asked if she wanted a drink, she glanced over towards zach, eyeing up the crates before slowly coming back to the question he'd asked. "i think i've got that covered," she replied, lifting the bottle that was in her hand. taking another swig, she started to explore what she could, letting her feet carry where she went, having absolutely no idea where that'd be, exactly. "jesus christ. do you have a maid or something?" there was no way in hell that he kept his place this neat. she'd never, ever, met a guy who was capable of cleaning an entire house this good.
