Detta has never had an easy life. Her father randomly popped in and out of her life, and her mother was a depressed drug addict who put food on the table by spreading her legs. Detta however remained an innocent child despite the environment in which she was raised. She had a wild imagination and a intense desire to learn new things. Her life would constantly go from stable, to unstable. Her father would show up on birthdays, promising to take her with him next time, a promise that was never kept. As Detta grew into her teen years she learned very quickly how harsh a world she had come to live in. She did her best to ignore the horrible things she saw, did her best to love her mother despite her flaws, and secretly prayed her father would keep his promise.

When Detta turned 15 her mother out of nowhere turned her over to the state, saying she could no longer care for the child. Detta being 15 made her not a great candidate for adoption, and she spent most of her foster life in a girl’s home. She lost her virginity to her social worker in an attempt to make him adopt her to get her out of the new hell hole she called home. But just like every man she has ever come across they are full of empty promises. Detta remained in the girls home until her 18th birthday. She left the home with no job, no place to live, and absolutely no family. Detta made ends meet by working at a local dinner, and crashing at a very generous friend’s house. Life was starting to become stable until he showed up. Some over muscled, thick neck of a brute who attempted and succeeded at snatching her out of an alley after she had left her job took her away from the new life she had started.

Detta didn’t stay with the man long before she was dropped off at the door step of someone’s house. She watched the stranger exchange money with the brute, and Detta was handed over without even a clue to why she had been brought there. When the stranger brought her into the house she was greeted by the familiar face of her father, a man she hadn’t seen in over eight years. At first Detta was excited, but over the next couple months she noticed something very strange about her father. He always had strangers coming in and out of his home, and late at night she could hear him at work in the basement. The basement was the only place in the home she was not permitted to go.

. It had taken her almost three years to break the one cardinal rule of the house, but curiosity killed the cat, and it sure as hell frightened Detta One day while her father was working in the basement she ventured down to sneak a peek at exactly what she was doing. What her eyes saw still haunts her today. Her father was hacking away at a human corpse without care of remorse. Detta remembered sitting on the stairs screaming, and the wild look her father gave her still haunts her dreams. Detta shot up and ran, and didn’t stop running until her legs gave out on the other side of town. Detta couldn’t go back there, she couldn’t. What if he would do that to her for what she saw? The now twenty one year old girl used what little money she had to hop on a bus.

Detta is now determined to find the brute that turned her over to her father, and punish him. How could he knowingly turn an innocent girl over to a monster like that? Detta has worked odd and end jobs as she moves across the country in search of him. She has just recently landed herself in Carmel Cali miles away from the person she wants to confront more than anything
