His Job -
By now the words of Elijah have gotten very well spread around the world, translated into a total of 18 languages so far even to be precise. As an Author, Elijah started his career at the age of two where he drew his stories even from before he could write, once he could write, words was all that mattered. He wrote short stories for himself and his family members, and at the age of fourteen he got his first short story published. Elijah decided to go just for one genre, and always having been a fan or horror movies and books himself it was Horror that mattered at the end of the day. His first completed book was published when he was seventeen. And has during his eleven year long career published nine more books and is notoriously well known for The Rattle Cage, which was his first ever best-seller and a revolution for the horror story world.
His creations -
Bag of Skeletons (Published 2001) II Halfway down (published 2003) II Ragged Edge (Published 2004) II The Magnificent Game (Published 2005) II The Rattle Cage (Published 2007) II No Name (Published 2008) II The Lonely Door (Published 2009) II Purple Snow (Published 2010) II Wet Butterfly (Published 2011)
His current Project –
Ashes of Towers.
Elijah aims to finish this project before the end of the year so it can be published May 2013 according to schedule.
His babies -
For the past six years, Elijah has had two steady companions by his side that have never left and supported him through everything he has gone through those years. The two purebred Borzoi twin brothers, the only two born in that litter, Kain and Abel are the light in his darkness. Without them Elijah would be nothing and he knows it. Despite the names of these dogs, they get along very well and have never fought one another. They make Elijah leave his house, because without them, he would never get the fresh air and the sunlight that he really needs.
His bookshelves -
Standing in his living room, Elijah has a large book case that takes up most of the wall that is stuffed with all kinds of things, pictures, decorations, souvenirs, small pieces of art, tea-light holders, movies, but most importantly books and cd’s. He sees his bookshelf alone as a piece of art, and is proud of the collection of things he has pushed into the furniture to make it what it is today. There are many things in those shelves that he takes pride off, but there are few things that really are his favorites.
His shelf -
The Departed (Movie) II Fight Club (Movie) II Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (Movie) II Shutter Island (Movie) II Ringu (Movie) II The Grudge (Movie) II American History X (Movie) II The Darjeeling Limited (Movie) II The Prestige (Movie) II Shutter (Movie) II Child 44 (Book) II The Secret Speech (Book) II Agent 6 (Book) II The Ring (Book) II IT (Book) II Cujo (Book) II Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book) II A Heart Shaped Box (Book) II The Lord Of The Rings (Book) II The Hobbit (Book) II When Angels Die (Book) II David Bowie – Heroes (CD) II The Kinks – One For The Road (CD) II Maroon 5 – Overexposed (CD) II Nick Cave – Let Love in (CD) II Take That – Progressed (CD) II The White Stripes – Elephant (CD) II Foo Fighters – The Pretender (CD) II Frank Zappa – Sheik Yerbouti (CD) II Jimi Hendrix – Are You Experienced? (CD) II Scissor Sisters – Ta-Dah! (CD)
His sexuality -
Elijah has known since the day he could even think of romantic interests and who he liked more in kids movies that he was gay. He didn’t want the princesses (though he can admit that they are pretty), he always wanted the prince and fell in love with them instead. His family noticed this behavior as well in Elijah when he was a little boy and have always been accepting to it, it was never questioned, and Elijah never really needed to come out of the closet as it had always been an open one. In fact, the shock really came when he was in High school and dated a girl for a short time to make sure that he really was gay. He didn’t like that relationship at all with the girl physically and decided that yes, he was gay. And even with the public and press questioning it when he started to become the known author today, he even told straight out from day one that the rumors were in fact true, and that he wouldn’t want it any other way.
His family -
Elijah is the second child of his family and also the youngest one. His mother Selma Haynes is a teacher at the local High School in Rumford Maine where Elijah is born and raised. His father Phillip Haynes works as an electrician. The couple married young and had their first child at the age of twenty, it was a girl who they named Fiona. Barely two years after Elijah was born. His family stands Elijah very close and he keeps contact with them by email, phone, skype, letters and occasional visits. Living in California is a little bit hard for him just for that sole reason alone. But he makes sure to visit his parents every three months and Christmas is always celebrated in Rumford.
His problem -
While Elijah might seem like a happy and a smiling bloke, that is far from right and is very very wrong. Elijah is just fantastic with covering it up. In fact, Elijah has suffered from depression ever since he was 21 and just published The Magnificent game. The depression is the reason why he didn’t publish a book the following year and also the reason for the success behind The Rattle Cage, as he had poured all of his emotions and feelings towards his struggle in depression into it which made readers feel everything he felt like a sponge for a short time. However Elijah is much better now with the help of medication, steady therapy, a daily dose of sunlight and his two dogs and now feels happier then he has in a long time, but it is still lingering and he is fully aware of that.

That some things worked out to begin with could be called a pure wonder. And that war managed to work out as well? An even bigger wonder. Gabriel could never understand how it worked and that it actually managed to remain working as well. It wasn’t like it was a popular thing, with people protesting about it all the time to avoid more war and all the freedom groups that existed. It was a little bit entertaining to watch, just a little bit. It was like some kind bad reality tv show that happened just outside your window and actually had you involved. Not that it ever was a good thing so to speak. Gabriel had never found himself involved besides endless hours of Call of duty and battlefield and a lot of other brain dead video games. Heck, his mother was a pure hippie of the family with flower power and everything else that came along with it all, Gabriel could still remember how their house had looked when he had been a small boy. With the earth colors, flowers, some posters of Jimi Hendrix and Hare Krishna, it wasn’t such a surprise really either when you looked at her to. And his father? His father had once gotten a calling to the army, but to avoid it all he had called his uncle who was a doctor to make a fake excuse for him so they wouldn’t allow him to join. It had worked up to this day and to be quite honest, Gabriel was even considering to do the same. Or actually show up and act as if he was mentally unstable just to amuse himself a little bit more. It would be fun just to see their faces. He wouldn’t deny that. On the other hand, if they wanted him he would be quite surprised.
Gabriel probably wouldn’t even get that famous letter where they said that they wanted (or needed him) as well. And if they did then they would have to make better research in the people they wanted there. Not that Gabriel would sign up even if he could. The hippie mothers opinions had gotten stuck in Gabriel’s mind as well. in games it was alright because that was just what it was, a fantasy world. It wasn’t reality. There were enough stories to be read about world war two and the consequences that people had gotten from it after words. Even the complete innocent ones. Yes it was quite true. Hitler was an asshole. Yet it made Gabriel a little bit scared as he knew that anyone who had the skills in holding speeches like Hitler had done could still rise and shine in this day and age and cause more damage. He surely hoped that it was enough with the world wars now and that there wouldn’t come a third one. Now with the technology having advanced for 60 more years damage could be done a lot more with the newer weapons and other creepy things. Maybe that would be the end of the world. World war three and the consequences that started from it. Yet it was a quite unrealistic thought that a war would be able to start in a year and a half to such an extent that the world would be dead. If it wasn’t some kind of nuclear war and people would live on further after December the 22nd next year. Maybe they would all become like the people in that horror movie, whatever it was called. The hills have eyes? yes, that was the one. With all the mutant human beings who somehow survived rather than deciding to get cancer and die. That was a thing Gabriel envied from tv. Nuclear radiation never equaled cancer, it was always mutation and it was a fifty percent shot that you got an awesome power. If not, well, sorry, but you turned out to look like a monster for the rest of your jolly life.
“Yeah true – I don’t know how hopeful I could stay when I know that the end result is going to be the same.” Gabriel laughed some and nodded a couple of times. His craving had kicked in again for another cigarette. And if cancer wasn’t going to be the death of him then smoking definitely would. Although that ended up in cancer as well. He was fully aware that he had to stop sometime, and he had promised himself that he would stop the day he got a child himself, when he was supposed to be the one to look up to and holding a cigarette in your hand… well. That didn’t really send the right message, his only hope however was to find a girl that didn’t smoke then, otherwise it would all be for nothing and he could still smoke himself. So many ways of planning it all. ‘’We have the most optimistic conversations you and I, the end of the world and how we will die out? Brilliant if you ask me. We have a head start.’’ Gabriel joked and gave Keith another grin.
Hunger kicked in, all the talk about ordering Pizza to the lighthouse was finally getting to Gabriel and when he was hungry, he got really hungry. It wasn’t like he could just forget about it and walk with it for an hour or two. No, Gabriel got cranky if he didn’t get the food once he started to feel the need for it. And him cranky wasn’t a good thing. For being surprisingly nice and Mr. good guy overall, Gabriel did have a very sharp tongue and people got constantly reminded of it. The positive part was that he would feel bad over it once the situation was over and he got the food he needed, wanted and craved. And the even better part right now? The raining had stopped so he could take his motorbike with him rather then leave it in the lighthouse. “So I’ll meet you there?” Keith asked just as Gabriel was pushing his bike back out of the lighthouse into the fresh air and nature. He nodded and grabbed his helmet, then dried away the raindrops from its seat with the sleeve of his leather jacket, the last thing he wanted was it to soak into his jeans. ‘’I’ll race you there.’’ Was his very simple reply along with a short grin and pulled his helmet on. A race sometime a week never was harmful, it wasn’t like they took it dead serious. It was just a little game now and then, just like sitting down and playing call of duty for 6 hours to see who could survive the longest. Gabriel got on his helmet and started his bike, then looked to Keith as he was going through his process of the car, he couldn’t sneak start. Then there was no point in the game what so ever.
